I was thinking about this again last night and realized how perfect the shoes are. Only a recent transplant would wear chuckies in the snow. It’s a perfect visual representation of a displaced soul. Is it in the book?
Yes! They aren’t specified as Chucks in the book, but Thyme has red shoes that are completely inappropriate for snow and happen to match her best friend’s shoes back in California. 🙂
